Hey, I'm Holly!
Meet the photographer
I'm a photographer, storyteller, and proud Bass Coast local. I’ve always loved the arts in all its forms, but I found my true passion when I was 8 years old and got my very first camera — a tiny little point-and-shoot that took the most gloriously pixelated photos you can imagine.
And now, here we are 22 years later!
In 2015 I completed my Bachelor of Film and Television with a Specialisation in Photography from Swinburne University. My film background plays a big role in how I shoot today; I love creating cinematic moments that tell a story in a single frame.
From there, I went on to complete a Graduate Diploma of Teaching in 2016 at The University of Melbourne and have spent the past eight years teaching Media and Photography - something I’ve absolutely loved doing. Sharing the creative process with students has been such a rewarding part of my journey.
Throughout my studies and alongside my teaching, I have worked extensively as a photographer, with a focus photojournalism and the live music scene. Through this work I've had the chance to work with some incredible artists including Billie Eilish, Soundgarden, Slash, Faith No More and Tame Impala. Gig and festival work was fast-paced, unpredictable, and full of raw, real moments and it taught me so much about capturing emotion as it unfolds.
So, where to next?

Family photography has always had a special place in my heart, but since moving back home to Bass Coast and starting a family of my own, I understand its importance on a whole new level. I have never taken more photos in my life, than I have of my son over the past year. Time moves so fast, and these little everyday moments? They’re everything. My dream is to work with others to preserve those special, perfect and irreplaceable moments.
